At first the whole process was going really well The sales team were great and I was informed at each step along the way how things were progressing Where Barratt fell way short was the hand over of the property as the finish standard was appalling The move in date was delayed by a week as they overlooked the fact I had purchased flooring throughout the property through them which was not done The list of minor faults is too long to list and to be honest I m just going to fix them myself marks and chips everywhere and leaky plumbing to name but a few For the money you spend on a property you would expect better I will never use Barratt again

Pre sales very helpful On site team very friendly and approachable pre and post sale However too many snagging issues that could and should have been resolved prior to handover if there was better quality control inspection in place

1 It was very troublesome to prove my savings which is very past It is very difficult to find the records that is 10 years ago 2 There was no washing machine also mirrors in the bathrooms which was not mentioned

Bought a Barat flat in 2022 I wasn t overly impressed with some of the quality of the work We had some real issues with our plumbing on multiple occasions We also experienced major flooding due to poor construction of the building which consequently led to a burst water pipe in the building affecting multiple properties Aftercare Non-existent We didn t receive any communication from the company after the purchase Overall Would I buy from them again Unlikely

Pushed to exchange to then be hit with several delays Poor communication from the sales office only told days before completion we would be moving property went to the wire with timings so the house was rushed at the last minute and it shows Site team currently redeeming the company if true to their word

Moved to my new home at the end of April Very excited to be finally moving after 52 years in my previous house in North London Everyone here is very helpful and issues have been dealt with very quickly and really enjoy living in Essex Sadly this has been ruined by anti social behavior from a neighbor It started soon after they moved to the area Noisy children not respecting other people boundaries and the police have had to be called out several times due to domestic issues with this neighbor Today was the final straw when the neighbor was caught on my video doorbell dumping bags of their rubbish in my bin when they clearly have there own bin In 52 years at my previous address I never had any problems with neighbors and after just a few months of moving to my new home I am having to put up with these nightmare neighbors Not sure what can be done but I will be keeping a close eye on things in the coming weeks and months

Not quite as the sales team sell it to you Quite a few snagging issues which took a long time to rectify Later down the line you then get told some of them are your problem to deal with it which is the complete opposite of what you are told when buying

Garden was rushed at last minute on day we moved in was not rotivated and is flooding and like a swamp and still not resolved after 4 months Issues highlighted as soon as moved in at this stage we cannot plant any flowers or plants as they will drown Issue has been acknowledged but still no dates for a fix or resolution

Moved into my home in February 2022 and have had a good experience with Barratt until the start of this year Encountered a problem with plumbing while the shower is still under warranty and have been back and forth with Barratt for almost 2 weeks trying to get this sorted but still no success The post sales service has been disappointing
