Barratts Back Themselves Barratts advertise their homes as high quality Barratts Truley believe they have sold me a high-quality home despite over 300 snagging issues Poor quality materials and finish to the property not high quality Despite the evidence to prove Barratts have not sold me a high-quality home they refuse to compensate me for it I have provided quotes for over 20k to show what costs are needed to bring my home up to a high-quality home as Barratts advertised My house is valued lower than is should be because of the poor-quality finish Barratts feel all off their houses are finished the to a high-quality standard and they feel their advertising backs the houses they sell to their customers Their garden fencing is not high- quality Their staircases bannisters are not high-quality Their workmanship and finish to the decoration painting is not high-quality I have experienced an appalling experience and Barratts despite everything they have put me through still back themselves and feel they have sold me a high-quality home despite all the evidence Their own staff signed off the house off as Good not excellent and definitely not high-quality I have raised an official complaint with ASA - Advertising Standards Authority for Barratts mis-leading advertising - I would highly recommend anyone else who has not received a high-quality home to do the same Barratts need to be held accountable and they need to take responsibility for selling a poor-quality house What s even more worrying The NHBC also signed the house off

I would not even given Barratt homes a 1 star After buying our home with them we have had nothing but problem due to shoddy workmanship and then being fobbed off by customer care Am absolute disgrace my advice is stay clear from this builder

Poor service the quality of build is not great cheap components used that fail stay away Better to buy something that needs fixing up

Recently viewed and requested to reserve a home at Woodland Heath Sprowston The girls in the office were lovely house was beautiful and we had no complaints initially We were advised that the first step was to speak to their mortgage advisers to confirm affordability and we were assured they will give free no obligation advice We would then be contacted to make an appointment to come in and formally reserve the property The company called us the same evening and were rather pushy about us using their service rather than our current broker that we are unfortunately tied in with and was adamant that he could get us a better deal He insisted that the specific mortgage product that we had used for our agreement in principle wasn t suitable for us and that he could easily get us a new product based on our approved affordability He said that he would let Barratt Homes know that based on our salaries and savings we had no issues with affordability and were okay to proceed but we potentially just needed to use a different product lender which wasn t an issue for us and we could have quickly made arrangements in order to do this with our broker but unfortunately couldn t use him Called him back the following morning to confirm we had done some of our own research and were going to go ahead and get a different agreement in principle as he advised and use some more of our savings to slightly change the specifics but he hung up the second he heard my husband s voice We left multiple missed calls and voicemails throughout the week and heard nothing back from him and unfortunately Barratt Homes were closed for two days so were left unsure as to what was going on We went ahead and changed our AIP with our broker anyway and made all necessary arrangements to make it work as affordability had been confirmed to not be an issue We then called Barratt Homes back when they reopened to get an update on the progress and they informed us that their Mortgage Advisor had deemed us to be un-proceedable and another person had now reserved the home We felt completely blindsided and heartbroken to learn that after two days of uncertainty and stress from being given the cold shoulder the company had disregarded us without even attempting to get in contact and let us know Surely after a conversation in which we requested to reserve the property someone should have contacted us to inform us that it had gone to someone else Especially as it was very quick and easy for us to change the mortgage to a suitable product as the issue wasn t affordability I personally believe that another person came along that wasn t tied in with another broker and so he saw them as an opportunity to make some money using his mortgage services and so was dishonest about our circumstances in order to write us off Hence ghosting our calls

Staff is lovely and that s about all I guess they have to be given what they sell you You pay a lot of money for a terrible rushed job They re all about the money and don t even wait to let the paint dry before you move in Hired a professional snagger and the flat was full of faults from sticky doors paint wasn t dry chipped paint everywhere plastic handles on doors and windows that are so cheap and handles that barely work unlevelled doors and walls etc didn t even need a snagger for majority of things are noticeable looks fine until you live in it Absolutely not worth it I lived in a 10 yr old new build before this and it was so much higher quality and about 100k cheaper too Everything screams cheap and rushed Didn t even bother to put mirrors in bathrooms Nothing about barratt is high spec or quality besides the showrooms that are a massive lie You re better off buying an older flat and getting work done to it might be the same money but you get higher quality and probably more space too

A leak was reported to Barratts about my home which is well within the 10 year warranty Water drips into the ceilings and walls Damage occurs every time it rains and there is wind when water blows up through the soffit vents Barratts sent contractors CWroofing to assess the leak who failed to arrive and submitted a false report anyway saying there weren t any issues Barratts have since washed their hands with it and refused to help despite this being a breach of the warranty agreement Appalling customer service

first of all please strengthen your service team to have a hotline or a direct whatsapp hotline or email to receive enquiries and with promise to reply within 24 hours Particularly to new immigrants like us I totally could not see you have any none servicing promise or service at all

Given 3 4 different moving in datesFelt like only interested in money rather than customer At first meeting told we would get 5 000 for furniture at Anderson of Inverurie part of reason we took flat after moved in mentioned it and told we could go out and just give plot number next day told we weren t entitled to it Front door doesn t fit frame gaps in all 4 corners Been in over week still haven t got garage parking space First experience of dealing with Barrats wouldn t recommend to anyone Was left voice message saying Barrats were pulling out of deal due to hold-up with paperwork absolutely nothing to do with me yet left stressed in hindsight wish you had No one from sales team has been in touch Barrats is a joke

Client needs to review the docs and remind the teams some of info are incorrect ie reservation form and the upgrading info etc

Very rubbish barratt house don t buying barratt house if buy be careful and check everything and thereng because after you buy house then barratt house Notting list your what s in house have problem barratt home service very very bad no body care what you have problem this my experience so I just buy nearly 2 years but didn t list barratt home to any problems for solution ji hate barratt house I am 6 months still waiting for service people my children is special and no body list I hate barratt house I am feeling so glitty to my buy house with barratt very rubbish
