A lot went wrong Would like to rate even less if possible Most importantly can t trust the sales management commitment any more They can easily back off on their own commitment for sake of money No business ethics arrogant and doesn t care for customer When this was escalated manager can only resolve the half of issue When it was further challenged we were asked to look for property somewhere else Based on the fact that we liked the plot we had to tolerate this unacceptable behaviour and go ahead with reservation Almost I got my mortgage application in jeopardy due to false commitment and even knowing the situation sales management didn t care Not trust worthy anymore It caused me a financial loss of 5100 mental stress and loss of time Wouldn t recommend this type of service to my family or friends however I am happy with sales advisor Jack s service

We bought a Barratt home thinking they were 5 star builders as they had said as soon as they have your money their customer service is non existent They just want to get out of any problem They make an experience that should be enjoyable an absolute nightmare Avoid buying with Barratt Reply advises we have been contacted by customer service The customer service team is part of the problem You get told one thing from site management then another by customer service The customer service team do not care at all Make sure you record every conversation with sales site and customer service

I wish I could give -100 stars to this horrible company It has made my first home experience horrible they are only concerned with selling property with horrible customer service including first port No guidance for residents The building is unsafe with poor use of material inside flat and outside The bathroom drains are faulty with poor drainage Rude unhelpful staff of barratt and first port Sent me legal letter today regarding service charges without accepting their mistake of sending previous letters to wrong address and forcing me to pay interest charges I wish I never bought this flat TW3 1FZ

We was in formed in a poor way and nothing was explained no plans or nothing that they was going to build 5 houses and they to come home to find they taken 50 percent of my green space view to make a temporary carpark with a and fence which looks like a prison other houses near me and for sale and with this making them unsaleable and they are not happy either and had viewings too and some that been here since they where built they said they was promised the land would been built on in a year not 8 Do they expect us to pay the service charge with this going on And are they going to use it for site storage If you leave a email address I get in touch

I will never buy from Barratts again When moving into our Millfield home on Wixams we immediately reported a sewage smell in the kitchen and a water logged garden 6 months later they rectified the kitchen issue which was a poorly installed downpipe meaning we had an open waste pipe The garden has had work but was insufficient and is still flooded boggy and smells like rotted vegetation they have said that this is acceptable We have chased and chased and been forced to make a formal complaint which still isnt being managed properly Barratts are a joke

We moved into our Barratts house on East Haven in Barry nearly a year ago We still live on a building site and there seems to be no interest in progressing works What s more we ve had old Heras fencing in our garden slowly rusting Despite my asking for it to be removed it keeps reappearing We were promised that a flood wall would be built yet this hasn t happened So the front of my house floods on every spring tide I would avoid buying a house on East Haven in Barry unless you want to live on a permanently flooded building site

We live in Crimchard Somerset Our recycling rubbish cannot be picked up and we want to know what u r going to do about it Myself and my husband are not very pleased with Barratt homes The entrance is uneven with the works going on And the entrance is very narrow and we don t think the dustbin carts can get in or out The entrance is in a really bad state and it s not been handled very well And we want to know what u r doing about getting all our recycling picked up We r extremely annoyed with Barratt homes

On going issues with water logged garden and flooding in the garage Thought Barratts would have been be better than persimmon who we last purchased with but was so wrong Water runs down the drive into neighbours garden The same houses as ours on the estate have a wall around the bottom garden but ours doesn t because it wasn t in the plans Doesn t make it the right decision does it Let s see what NHBC think about it when we report them as we were told a slight incline not a water bogged hill

My experience with Barratt FirstPort at Hendon Waterside London NW9 is terrible very poor Average build quality far from great These flats are not aging well poor workmanship shoddy job and cheap materials - cracks in the walls and ceiling paint laminate and tiles coming off incorrect installation of appliances burst pipes leaking taps no sealant installed under the frame of the walk in shower I took a video when appointed by me contractor took of the walk in shower frame to find out how the water escapes I don t want to even count the snags as it s endless Our case is not isolated most of our neighbours from Hawfinch House and other buildings experienced similar issues The worst of all is the inefficient Managing Agent - FirstPort Within a few years service charge doubled the quality of the service decreased to zero Lack of transparency of the charges most of the costs are masked and no breakdown is available services that have been paid for are not delivered or delivered to a very poor standard inadequate actions from the senior management Hundreds of thousands of are going towards management fees insurances etc and very little or nothing goes towards the buildings - broken doors faulty lifts poor interior maintenance non-existent maintenance of the children s playgrounds and outdoor areas a lot of security issues - stolen bicycles damages to communal areas Frankly I have never seen in my life so much dishonesty incompetence lack of response accountability and poor customer service gathered in one place I would advise everyone considering buying a property where FirstPort is involved to read all of the horror stories associated with this bunch of cowboys It is difficult for me to understand how Barratt decided to partner with this company Please accept this review as a feedback and do not chase me with silly template replies advising to write to ghost s emails pretending to the neutral reader that someone is on the top of the problem I tried this way - it is a waste of time If you want to do any good - Remove FirstPort from Hendon Waterside

House is poor garden is horrendous On my 4th lawn in 12 months and despite Barratts getting an Independent landscaper to provide a professional recommendation on how to fix the issues they haven t opted to go with his recommendation as it was overkill and too expensive We ve not been able to use our lawn since moving in and our patio floods every time it rains The sub-contractors used on site are all extremely poor and customer care is purely cost driven with no care given to the customer at all
