Worst rental management company ever they are pure fraud History - the first tenant they got us when they were OneRent was good The second time we thought it ll be the same standard but they got us criminals Cops have called me arrested the tenants The tenant had other criminals stay at the property kept multiple dogs filthy unhygienic conditions of the property issues to the whole community I have tried to get poplar to take action but been unsuccessful They don t respond back to emails texts calls nothing They don t even put notice for non payment of rent Their only answer is eviction for which they don t provide any support nor do they have smart legal guys They are all numbskull

I m a realtor with Re Max Gold I ve been trying to make an appt to show a house this fiasco of an app company respresents with no success all day long The website is unusable the customer service line is just a static-y hold that goes on and on and on with no person actually coming to the line I m about to tell my client she s on her own with this house and show her some of the hundreds of other active listings in Palo Alto The only positive side is that these app companies make me look amazing by comparison simply by virtue of the fact that I m a human Low bar

I am a home owner Please stay away from poplar homes Never respond have to ping multiple times Leasing process is a disaster after a month after they claim home is ready to rent after previous tenant move out I only find the home still dirty and the garage door has been broken for weeks without repair nor mentioned in inspection report Waste a month and still far from ready to show

Poplar is helpful until you actually need something Renting a property from them that needed regular stuff repaired Screens for the sliding door 2 windows outlets were ALL loose light flickering in both the kitchen master bath broke exhaust broke ceiling fan in master bed bath No working garbage disposal We moved in April Requested maintenance since May now it s August we re still waiting for a maintenance response We literally have to duct tape every single plug to the wall because they won t stay in the socket We had to get our own screens for the damn windows This company is janky af And every single time you call no one has any idea why you re calling what the problem is but will gladly waste 25 mins regurgitating the written bs that poplar insist they say I m in So Cal Inland Empire John Paul Rhen Jay James Carol Shemma bs customer service

Three days ago I listed my condo on Zillow to rent I got a call today through Zillow from who I thought was a perspective renter Instead I was met by a Popular Homes employee who did not immediately disclose who he worked for but instead asked about the unit and if I had accepted any applications thus far He came across as a buyers agent preparing to set up a viewing It wasn t till the end of the call that he let me know his true intention was to be the listing agent for me instead of doing it myself The utter lack of transparency and honesty is startling and I am not surprised the ratings are what they are at Can t even begin to imagine what it would be like to actually use them for property management Stay Away

Awful experience Sibling is moving into their property this morning and is locked out No calls back no live person two of us on hold for over an hour and a half No 24 7 service for us Movers standing outside waiting and no answer Paying for property and no help to get into it for this little family It s a shame and I d highly suggest your customer service by addressed Any response outside of a refund for their time and moving costs is worthless Ezra Black Eugene Oregon Shasta Loop

New name same problems Onerent now changed their name Poplar maybe to run from their bad reviews They outsource to the Philippines but give their call center employees no authority to make decisions are get things done Been waiting on deposits to be rurturned for weeks now despite havign switched companies and making several requests GIVE BACK THE DEPOSIT Delay tactics similar to extortion

I own 1969 Fashion Ave Long Beach CA 18 units I have received no notice from Poplar Homes but my renters are notified to pay their rent to a dropbox Phone calls to my management company Action Management are no longer answered There is no one to call to ask what is happening This sounds like a scam and will be reported as such this Friday March 17th unless I here from some verifiable reliable source

Ended up with Poplar Homes after they acquired the John L Scott property management division Service went down hill fast Been trying to get our property inspected for 7 months now Partially done after 5 months after many many emails and phone calls Got every excuse in the book Finally gave up trying to contact our local property manger and started dealing with their customer support center which is in the Philippines
